Hair Tips: How To Reduce Greasy Hair

Todays hair tips post is...

How to reduce greasy hair?

There are alot of tips on how you can get rid of grease including using various products. Luckily i don't get greasy hair fast. Infact i only have to wash my hair once a week! But if i wanted to i could leave it a week and a half before it gets greasy. Defo luck! But i have learnt some things to reduce greasy hair. These include:

1.

Don't wash your hair constantly otherwise you will be washing out all the natural oils which help your hair stay healthy. If you have to wash your hair, say every 2 days, then don't! Once it starts to get greasy chuck it up into a bun or pony tail, there are so many ways to disguise greasy hair. Do this for about 2-3 days and then wash your hair and eventually you will find your hair has become in better condition and you will be able to wash it less times a week keeping its healthy appearence longer.

2.

Another thing you could do to hide grease is to use Batiste dry shampoo. My twin, who isn't as lucky as me when it comes to hair grease, uses this to cover the grease to save washing her hair another day. It is actually pretty good and works well from what i can tell. Although you do have to rub it in enough otherwise it looks like you have dandruff.

3.

Finally i have a weird tip for you guys...sleep with talcum powder in your hair. My mum told me this ages ago as her cousin did it. Apparently it worked.

But theres 3 tips on how to reduce greasy hair. I hope you found it interesting/helpful. Thanks for reading sweeties!

Summer Sales!!!

It's rare nowadays that if i go online browsing, and theres a sale, that i won't end up buying something...or, more likely, some things.

The other day me and my mum sat online for hours browsing all the sale items on New Look, one of my favourite stores, preparing for my holiday...always an excuse to buy new clothes, she is also such a bad influence on my shopping. This lead to me having a rather large amount of items in my basket, but i did manage to reduce this down to 5. I also only spent £39! Saving £56! You have got to love sales! And today they arrived so here are my new buys:

New buys:

Blue 4.5 inch Cage Zipped Back Heels - £8
Monocrome Strappy High Vamp Heels - £10
Brown Lace Up Block Heel Boots - £8
Button Frontnt Crop Barlet Top - £5.99
Monocrome Tapestry A-Line Rose Skirt - £7

Due to it being summer, i had decided that i'm going to attempt to dress more brightly and step back from my comfort of black based outfits however i did find that i brought afew black based clothes so therefore have failed, ooops. But why not brighten up the outfits with bright jewellery, mabye a yellow fashion necklace, who knows! I did however manage to buy some bright blue heels that would bring a statement to outfits, along side my desperate need for new boots after my all time favourite black brouges have eventually taken their toll and worn out. R.I.P. I can't wait to put these into outfits!

Hair Tips: The Perfect Simple Top Knot

How to get a perfect simple top knot/bun?

Sometimes trying to get that perfect top knot can be hard, especially when you have little time. However, there is a way to do the hairstyle which creates a perfect simple top knot every time.

The process:

1. Flip your hair over your head and gather it into a pony tail. This helps create a high bun.

2. After gathering the hair, tilt your head back up so you are looking up to the ceiling. Twist the pony tail round so it is tight.

3. Wrap the hair around the base of the pony tail and tie it all together with a band and use crocodile clips to secure all those loose strands.

Hope this was helpful, even spent time drawing out a pictorial...it was harder and more time consuming than it seemed, helpful though. Next weeks hair tip will be about getting healthier looking hair. Don't miss it. Thanks Sweeties xox
